Shot glass of the day #26: Paris

This is the last shot glass of the day for a while. Hope you enjoyed viewing my collection!

Shot glass of the day #25: Stonehenge

Yes, this was actually bought at Stonehenge. A drink to the druids on 4/20!

A strange day, April 20th... My Grandma Elsie's birthday (RIP), along with Hitler's (no relation). Also the day Jimmy Carter got attacked by a rabbit in 1979 and the Columbine massacre.

Let's hope this year it's a nice one.

Shot glass of the day #23: Colorado

Visited the Fat Tire Brewery while Jesse and I were in Colorado. Highly recommend getting a tour if you should ever find yourself there.

Shot glass of the day #22: Las Vegas

One of the best memories I have of Vegas is seeing The Beatles "Love" show a few days after Jesse and I got married. That and seeing Jane's Addiction the night before they tore down the old Aladdin hotel...

Shot glass of the day #21: West Palm Beach, Florida

Jesse and I drove from Seattle through Oregon to San Francisco and finally back to Los Angeles. That was our road trip. We'd love to do it again some day... Next time maybe we'll see Canada on the way back home.

Speaking of which... The next trip we took was to Calgary, Alberta, Canada for my cousin Aubrey's wedding. For some reason I didn't get the chance to look for a shot glass there...

After that it was West Palm Beach, Florida, where I got to meet Jesse's dad and grandmother. Since our initial visit back in 2004, we try to get to Florida every year around the holidays.

Shot glass of the day #20: Seattle

One of my favorite shot glasses. From the Seattle Aquarium. Love the octopus!

Shot glass of the day #19: Montana

I like how the "Dude Shot" is somewhere in the middle... very non-committal. That's like the Dude.

Shot glass of the day #15: Chicago

...and onwards to Illinois.

In Chicago my GPS broke down completely. No reception in the Windy City. Had some time to karaoke there, visit Trader Vic's and go to an industrial club. Lincoln Park was great, despite someone leaving a poop in the elevator in our hotel.

Shot glass of the day #13: Philadelphia

Dang! Got one out of order! (This one should have been posted before Ohio.) I forgot about this exquisite shot glass we purchased as we sped through Philly...

Shot glass of the day #12: Cleveland, Ohio

From NYC we drove through Philadelphia to Ohio, where we stayed long enough in Cleveland to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Worth the visit just for the original Beatles hand written lyrics and Bowie costumes alone...

Shot glass of the day #11: New York City

NYC... Home of Marvel Comics Superheroes and Times Square. The place that brought us Saturday Night Live, Howard Stern, Pop Art and The Ramones. I love New York and want to live there someday.

Shot glass of the day #10: New Jersey

My only regret of the entire road trip I took with my wife Jesse in 2004 is that I didn't find shot glasses in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland or Delaware, which was the route we took up the eastern part of the United States. The highlight of this part of the trip for us was Maryland, where we ate the best crab cakes we have ever tasted (thanks to our hosts the Orsers) and got to see the amazing American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore. As for Jersey, it was sadly only a drive through, but was the first state where I could find a shotglass in all that time.

Shot glass of the day #9: Georgia

From Alabama we drove into Georgia, where Jesse and I stayed overnight in Atlanta. It was beautiful to see the little of it I did. Waffle House was great there. My friend Pete is from GA, and my buddy Adam and his family live there now. Always liked the Georgia Bulldogs logo. One of my favorite mascots...

Shot glass of the day #8: Alabama

When we left New Orleans, Jesse and I wanted to drive through the South as fast as we could. We sadly never found a shot glass in Mississippi, but got a good one out in Alabama. We drove right through to Georgia, so the only memories I have of Alabama are gas station eating areas and diners...

Shot glass of the day #7: Louisiana

From Texas we headed into Louisiana and stayed in New Orleans right on Bourbon Street. This was a year before Katrina hit, and Jesse and I went on an official bus tour all around the city. We usually don't do stuff like that, but I'm glad we did. Many of the places we saw have since been washed away... and many have been re-built. I remember hearing "Roses" by Outkast and "The Joker" by Steve Miller Band numerous times at numerous bars being covered by numerous bands. This was also the only time I convinced Jesse to try oysters from the shell.
