Would empty space without form or matter be dark, light, or grey?
I used to think that before The Big Bang all there was outside of the hyper-compressed universe was static.
Then I realized that static is really electromagnetic noise, so that would have fallen within the realm of all the other stuff within the tiny explosionball to come.
