Shot glass of the day #2: Palm Springs, CA

 On our first date, my wife Jesse and I drove up to Palm Springs for Tiki Oasis 2004. This was our first road trip, and a precursor to our month-long trip across the country, which would begin a week later.

I love Palm Springs and have been going there since I was a kid. Back then I didn't like it too much because it was boring, but now it's a great place to visit. You can lay around by a pool in a bathing suit and then take the tram up to a snow-capped mountain within the same hour.

I got my first 2 CD's at the Palm Springs Town Center record store back in 1986. They were "Express" by Love and Rockets and "Closer" by Joy Division.
